The Atticus Lazenby Group was formed in 2014 in Chicago as a vehicle for bassist/composer/bandleader Atticus Lazenby's compositions. After a year in existence, the Group went into the studio to record seven of the tunes they had been performing around Chicago. The result, their debut album, showcases the Group's dynamic chemistry and versatility as they genre-hop their way through compositions that feature improvisation while still functioning within the contemporary musical landscape.
